All I Want is You by Falon Ballard

We get to my only five star non audiobook of the season! I wasn’t sure what to expect when I picked up All I Want is You by Falon Ballard. I normally don’t enjoy second chance romance but I figured tis the season so let’s see if I can be convinced. And I could! The angst made sense and didn’t feel shoehorned in and the romance made my heart feel.

A Very Fantasy Christmas by Chelsea Starling

You’d think after reading 15+ Christmas/holiday romances in the span of thirty days, everything would begin to blur together. And it absolutely did with the majority of them thanks to the lack of creativity and variety. It’s why I was so hopefully when I found A Very Fantasy Christmas by Chelsea Starling. It filled a niche which has been severely lacking. The whimsy and emotion in this collection had me smiling and crying in equal measure.

The Christmas Tree Farm by Laurie Gilmore

This is my first intro to the Dream Harbor series and when I tell you, The Christmas Tree Farm by Laurie Gilmore was just so cute and good! I absolutely want to read more of this series. The characters were fun and well thought out, the pacing steady, and the romance sweet.

Under the Mistletoe Collection

A twofer review today as I finish up Amazon’s Under the Mistletoe Collection. Merriment and Mayhem by Alexandria Bellefleur was pretty sweet! Possibly my second favorite of this collection. FMC Everleigh is a disaster, which is good because it means she can keep running into MMC Griffin. Their connection is cute but the romance is […]

All By My Elf by Olivia Dade

All By My Elf by Olivia Dade was cute, but would’ve been cuter if it wasn’t forced into being a condensed 55 page story. This is a workplace romance with some misunderstanding thrown in, but there weren’t enough pages to make this work as well as it should.

Merry Ever After by Tessa Bailey

Merry Ever After by Tessa Bailey is my second Tessa Bailey read of the holiday season and wow. This was not it. I am not sure if it simply because she was given such a short length to work with, or who knows, but this did not hit. It was weird. It felt rushed. It […]

How My Neighbor Stole Christmas by Meghan Quinn

I kept seeing How My Neighbor Stole Christmas by Meghan Quinn all over TikTok and Threads since it was released, talking about a candy cane scene. That alone was enough to have me pick this up. Then I saw the audiobook cast and knew it had to be a book to listen to over reading with my eyes. This was such a fun and sexy holiday book that I definitely think needs to be in every spicy romance reader’s holiday library, especially as an audiobook.

Cruel Winter with You by Ali Hazelwood

I was so excited to see Cruel Winter with You by Ali Hazelwood as one of the books available to those with Amazon Prime. While it definitely proved to be the best of the Under the Mistletoe Collection, it still felt a little off. If you can get it for free with prime, I say grab it. If you can’t, then you aren’t missing much by skipping.

The Christmas Tree Farm by Melody Carlson

The Christmas Tree Farm by Melody Carlson is a very quick and easy holiday read. I wanted to give his a shot because I thought the cover was cute and who doesn’t love how very Hallmark the idea of falling in love at a Christmas tree farm. That said, this did have some pacing issues and then became a bit religious toward the end which left me just feeling like this was a weird read.

Little Stranger by Leigh Rivers

Okay listen. I didn’t think I’d be reading Little Stranger by Leigh Rivers either but here we are. Yes, I love dark romances but I never really delved into taboo because I had hoped to maintain at least a shred of normalcy? But, well, booktok audio got me and I had to pick up the audiobook. It was SO GOOD! SO DARK! I think this might be the darkest romance I’ve picked up so far

Unwrapping Romance by Sandi Lynn

Unwrapping Romance by Sandi Lynn was a really weird read. It should have been an easy three star read for me as it was a billionaire forced proximity holiday romance, check check check. But the writing itself didn’t read right. I honestly had to see if the author had written anything previously only to be surprised by how many books she’s published – close to 100? You absolutely do not get that when reading this.

My Favorite Holidate by Lauren Blakely

Somehow, I completely missed My Favorite Holidate by Lauren Blakely until earlier this week. I saw the amazing cast of narrators and knew I had to pick this up. I have been obsessively reading this because it is just so good and different from the other holiday romances I’ve read so far this year! This is actually just such a great romance in general with characters and problems that feel real.

The Most Wonderful Crime of the Year by Ally Carter

Right at the start I am going to tell you, pick up The Most Wonderful Crime of the Year by Ally Carter. Hands down an easy five star book! Five star not just for holiday romance, but five star romance in general. Absolutely fell in LOVE with this.

Dark Obsession by Sarah Piper

Dark Obsession by Sarah Piper brings to a conclusion the trilogy that is Dorian and Charlotte’s romance. This might be the only trilogy where it has stayed consistently good. I was worried that things would fizzle for this third book, but it continued to give everything the series is known for. There was spice, angst, and violence!

Window Shopping by Tessa Bailey

Heartwarming and spicy, Window Shopping by Tessa Bailey is a solid holiday romance read. What really made this special, however, was the audiobook because wow!
