The Art of Avoiding Your Alpha by Lola Glass

The second book in the Wildwood series, The Art of Avoiding Your Alpha by Lola Glass, remains cute and steamy, though is pretty much a rinse and repeat of the first book. It honestly didn’t bother me because it’s a good formula and I’m not going into these paranormal romances expecting someone to reinvent the […]

The Art of Avoiding Your Werewolf by Lola Glass

After finishing the Cub Lake Shifters duology/series, I wanted more and picked up The Art of Avoiding Your Werewolf by Lola Glass. This was so very fun and cute, though it was also spicy.

Nocticadia by Keri Lake

I’ve got to be honest, I picked up Nocticadia by Keri Lake based on vibes alone. The cover looked really cool and the summary made this sound very goth/emo romance. I was not prepared for how this would alter my brain chemistry and instill in me an urge to find more goth new adult millionaire/billionaire romance.

Holding On by AC Bextor

So, this isn’t my typical romance but I was honestly just trying to tick boxes in a dark romance challenge. That’s the main reason I sought out Holding On by AC Bextor – it was a highly rated MC romance. Well, after reading this, I’m not sure I want to read more of that specific subgenre if this is the standard. This was just not my cup of tea and I’m going to be upfront about it.

Such a Good Guy by Kate Raven

Lord, I knew this was going to be dark. I knew it was going to be questionable. But damn, I still had higher hopes for Such a Good Guy by Kate Raven. This felt so half cocked full of ideas that never have the opportunity to take root. Everything feels like you’re being swept away […]

Sasha and the Butcher by Stephanie Kazowz

I am pretty sure Sasha and the Butcher by Stephanie Kazowz is another BookTok pick and this one was a pretty good one! Sasha was a great FMC, one of the best ones I’ve read in a while. She was strong, confident, and sexy. She knew what she wanted and what she didn’t and wasn’t […]

Give Me Butterflies by Jillian Meadows

Give Me Butterflies by Jillian Meadows was such a cute romance! Yes, there seems to be a deluge of STEM romances, but this one definitely stood out from the rest. This isn’t your typical grumpy/sunshine romance. Grumpy Finn definitely has reasons for being standoffish and unfriendly, while Millie’s sunshine is something that pushes her through […]

Make Me Lose by Ember Leigh

Make Me Lose by Ember Leigh was an easy to read romance that I really enjoyed! I picked this up only because I wanted to read book 4 in the Bayshore series, but decided to give the first book a chance to ensure I could get behind the writing style. I’m really happy I did! […]

Dark Heart by Donna Grant

One of the things I love most about the Elven Kingdoms series is how the focus seems split equally between fantasy and romance. That is especially the case in Dark Heart by Donna Grant where our couple, Arya and Jai, spend the majority of the book apart. We get so much action and plot in this book […]

Bearly Taken by Lola Glass

The second book in the Cub Shifter series, Bearly Taken by Lola Glass has a bit more angst than the first book in the series, but still leaves you feeling happy. This one focuses on Wren, who ended up mated and pregnant with her hook-up’s cub after he left her. Yes, this is a second-chance, […]

Bearly Mated by Lola Glass

Bearly Mated by Lola Glass is a short, sweet, and spicy shifter mates romance that is perfect when you’re looking for a quick read to leave you feeling fluffy.

The Fake Wedding Project by Pippa Grant

So, I’m choosing to post this after the Christmas holidays despite this being marketed as a Christmas romance. Why? Because while I absolutely loved The Fake Wedding Project by Pippa Grant, I don’t think it is necessarily a Christmas romance and is, instead, a contemporary romance with holiday elements. It was still a really great […]

Love You a Latke by Amanda Elliot

To end the holiday romance season, an absolutely adorable Hanukkah romance! I was purposely looking for a Hanukkah romance considering the market is so overly saturated with only Christmas romances when they market it as holiday romances. Love You a Latke by Amanda Elliot was the one that looked cute and fit what I was looking for. Expectations were absolutely met and surpassed! This was a cute, closed door romance that very much embodied the spirit of Hanukkah, while also left me feeling homesick.

All I Want for Xmas is a Vampire by Amity Grey

Never let it be said that I am not easily swayed by a pretty cover and buzzwords. That is how I ended up picking up All I Want for Xmas is a Vampire by Amity Grey as my final Christmas romance. Sadly, this did end up disappointing me as it didn’t feel like Christmas and didn’t feel like romance.
