A twofer review today as I finish up Amazon’s Under the Mistletoe Collection. Merriment and Mayhem by Alexandria Bellefleur was pretty sweet! Possibly my second favorite of this collection. FMC Everleigh is a disaster, which is good because it means she can keep running into MMC Griffin. Their connection is cute but the romance is very light. It’s pretty instalove, which again, makes sense considering it is less than 60 pages long and a holiday romance. It’s a cute, short, fun read that I recommend, if you’re reading it for free.

Review
Only Santas in the Building by Alexis Daria was honestly not my cup of tea and I don’t know why. As a Latine who lived in NYC their entire life (up until five years ago,) this should have made me feel like home. It should have felt familiar. Instead, it just seemed blah. Most of the focus seemed to be on Evie’s life and not on the romance, which might be it. It also seemed a little weird that she’s receiving mystery gifts and is cutesy about it. I know if I (again born and raised there) received mystery gifts, I’d be creeped out, as would most everyone I know back home. Then it took her way too long to figure out who was giving her the mystery gifts. We know barely anything about MMC, in fact I can’t even remember his name. This felt like such a letdown and the spice felt cringe.
