De-Witched by Sophie H Morgan

This was an absolutely super sweet and cute romance that I didn’t expect but absolutely needed. Both leading characters had great personalities, standing out from typical tropes and the relationship was solid.

The Very Secret Society of Irregular Witches by Sangu Mandanna

I don’t know what I expected when I picked up The Very Secret Society of Irregular Witches by Sangu Mandanna, but I do know I was pleasantly surprised! I thought this would just be a cute and cozy magic realism book, but this was so much more! Off the bat, the romance was a little […]

Discovery of Witches by Deborah Harkness

Would I recommend this? Honestly, I think I would simply because 75% of the book was really good and really captivated my attention. There are good ideas and it was good foundation, even if Discovery of Witches by Deborah Harkness stumbled at the end.

Wild Thing by Michelle Hercules

Long and short of it: WAY better than the first in the series. If you pick up the first book for free on Amazon Prime, this second one is DEFINITELY worth shelling out for. The first book in this series, Dark Prince, I honestly liked but was not blown away. Was happy enough with it […]

Beautiful Creatures by Kami Garcia, Margaret Stohl

Either I hyped myself up far too much, or I just didn’t get it for being out of intended target age range, but I could not fall for Beautiful Creatures by Kami Garcia and Margaret Stohl. Though the premise was an interesting one, and the setting built it up to be part of one of […]

The Corner Store Witch

I have no idea what to make of The Corner Store Witch by HD Lynn. If this should be taken seriously or as a parody or both. I do know that the title and cover, both of which make this sound fantastic, were completely misleading. There is no witch, only a girl who gets tangled […]

Rise by Luis Almonte

OMG WHAT A STORY! So, I was beyond confused at the start, not really caring for prologues that start at the end of the book. I was really worried that I had made a mistake picking up Rise by Luis Almonte. Then, the story switched to what happened before the prologue and just yessss! Read […]

Midnight’s Edge: The Secrets of Sleepy Meadow

Secrets of Sleepy Meadows by David Chappuis and Michael Klinger is an interesting book but wouldn’t have held my attention as much as it did were it not for the inclusion of a gay romance. Outside of that, it felt like a decent paranormal book but just didn’t hold me like other witchy books have. […]

Spells of Blood and Kin by Claire Humphrey

Baba had been dead for four days by the time Lissa got to speak with her. This is how Spells of Blood and Kin by Claire Humphrey begins, and boy is it a great first line! A solid debut novel by Ms. Humphrey, the book features solid character building, and an incredibly interesting take on […]

The Line by J. D. Horn

I must say I was quite surprised with this book. I went into the book extremely wary as I’ve had a few bad experiences with books from the amazon lending library. I had low expectations, so therefore anything other than horrific failure would have impressed me. With that in mind, I really enjoyed “The Line.” […]
