After finishing the Cub Lake Shifters duology/series, I wanted more and picked up The Art of Avoiding Your Werewolf by Lola Glass. This was so very fun and cute, though it was also spicy. I loved just the instant obsession/connection between Madd and Love, the confusion he feels when he realizes she’s his mate but she’s also a vampire (so he thinks.) After treating her roughly/getting her arrested, Madd realizes he’s been a jerk and so begins an entire book basically of grovelling and trying to prove himself a good mate and male. It was fun to see their wolves interact and overall this was a great intro to a new series. Some might dislike how Lola continually tried to hold Madd at arm’s length, but it makes sense for everything she’s been through.
If you’re looking for a quick palate cleanser, or a short werewolf romance that is equal parts cute and spice, I definitely think you’ll enjoy The Art of Avoiding Your Werewolf by Lola Glass.
