He’s the famous hockey player, and I’m the pregnant Omega next door…
My past was filled with mistakes, and knocking on a strange man’s door for a taste of his spicy food to satiate my craving was bound to be another one. The sparks were instant, and the bond I never expected to have grew, leaving me afloat as my due date loomed overhead.
I thought my pregnancy would be the issue that kept us apart, and I’d raise my child alone. I hoped I was wrong, but everything in my world was uncertain.
Adding Jeremy, Devon, and Nate to the mix might not be helpful. Jeremy, with his caring heart, took me in, and Devon filled my new home with laughter. Together, they reminded me of a kindness that I had forgotten.
Nate was the only one who hadn’t accepted me, and although I never intended to come between the three of them, his refusal left him battling against his pack mates’ desires, sending us all into a whirlwind of emotion as they fought amongst themselves.
Because Jeremy might not be the dad, but he wanted to be.
Pack Plus Three is the first book in the Pucking Pregnant series and is in the same universe as the Pucking Alphas series. Although each book is a standalone, they should be read in order.

review

I was just in the mood for low stakes hockey omegaverse and in came Pack Plus Three by Melissa Huxley. I’m not usually a big fan of baby/pregnancy romances, but this was just so cute! It is barely hockey, but that didn’t bother me. I’d rather minimum hockey than a lot of incorrect hockey. Anyway, pacing was perfect. The relationship between Jeremy and Daisy was cute and built up slowly. The introduction of Devon and Nate were quicker, but it makes sense considering she’d already built up that bond with their packmate. The one thing that really annoyed me was how often Daisy would call the baby a parasite. Like yeah, okay, we get it. But you’re telling me you never viewed it as a baby or thought of names – it’s always just parasite? IDK it got annoying. But otherwise, it was simply a fluffy, low stakes, omegaverse RH romance and I liked it.

This works for anyone looking for a palate cleanser, or a quick feel-good romance. Anyone looking for high stakes, angst heavy, or detailed character building will have to look elsewhere.
