While I was indifferent to the first book in the Fire & Rescue Shifters series, I still decided to give this one more shot before discontinuing. I’m glad I did because I LOVED Firefighter Pegasus by Zoe Chant. Pegasus firefighter Chase? Love of my life. He was the best of so many sunshiney tropes. A billionaire cinnamon roll shifter who is a firefighter golden retriever of a man. He was so wildly in love with his mate, Connie, and desperate to have her back. Meanwhile, I also really loved Connie. She didn’t just roll over when Chase started courting her. She also didn’t give in after they reconnected. Was the plot unique? No. Was it predictable? Fairly. Was it enjoyable? Immensely! If you need a palate cleanser or just want a quick shifter/fated mates romance to read with fairly low stakes, I definitely recommend picking Firefighter Pegasus by Zoe Chant up!
